Ratilal G. Makwana
Gujarat Pickers Industries Limited has completed 59 years of its operation under the guidance of Chairman and Managing Director Ratilal G. Makwana. He not only nurtured the company and strengthened it to grow on a consistent up-scale basis, but also diversified into various other businesses like trading of polymers, petrochemicals, Additives, etc.
Ratilal Makwana directed and led the creation of a trading house of repute functioning all over Gujarat and further extending to all over India. Ratilal Makwana also steered the company’s initiatives of going global by setting up an export house, which exported sugar, sugar machineries, equipments and accessories and imported various polymer raw materials, additives, adhesive coated papers etc.

- Director of Bhavnagar Mercantile Cooperative Bank during 1973-1975.
- Member of the Advisory Council of DRUCC (Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee) for the Bhavnagar Division, Western Railway during 1983-1989.
- Director of State Bank of India, Gujarat circle during 1983 - 1998.
- Ratilal Makwana was awarded 'Business Excellence National Award' by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 29th December 2015 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
- Special recognition given to Ratilal Makwana by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Honourable Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Govt. Of India. On National Conference Vendor Development Programme on petroleum sector for dealers, distributors and entrepreneurs in 2017 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
